glock 22 gen 5
glock 22 gen 5
All G22 models sold from 1998 on have a carcass fitted with a molded accessory rail and featuring an anatomical handle. There is also a model the G22C , since 1996. The compensator is composed of 2 orifices on the top of the breech (at the front of the weapon) and of holes on the top of the barrel in order to let escape the gases produced during the combustion of the powder contained in the cartridge . In 2010 appeared the fourth generation G22 ( G22 Gen 4 ) equipped with an interchangeable back of butt (3 sizes).
Dissemination as a police weapon
The G22 is therefore in service in 3 large countries that are amateurs of large calibres
It is the main administrative market of the G22. thus common at the federal level ( FBI , Drug Enforcement Administration , United States Marshals Service , United States Environmental Protection Agency ).
Further more ,MOS model is designed to make the pistol compatible with any optic available on the market. Most shooters prefer the Vortex Venom or the Trijicon RMRcc. The Glock 22 Gen 5 MOS is almost identical to the specs of the standard pistol, except for the line of sight(LOS). By creating a longer line of sight, the MOS model allows for quicker target acquisition.
The Gen 4 is the model most officers have now. However, the Gen 5 MOS model has been recently released and I haven’t met anyone who doesn’t love the Gen 5 MOS.
